Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge ~ Virginia Beach, VA
(I do not have a clue who these two gentlemen are in the photo, but the shadow is moi.)

ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shot! I know of that refuge as it has a lot of really neat wildlife there-particularly the flying kind!

ReplyDeleteExcellent composition of lines, lights and shadows on a landscape rich, interesting and a nice texture.

ReplyDeleteMY SHADOWY FRIEND
My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.
No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.
We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.
To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.

A lovely image...
ReplyDeleteI was in VA Beach decades ago, and all I remember was beach sand, never having seen the tidal marsh well beyond the hotels and barn,
ReplyDeleteI love a salt marsh and the birds that inhabit these environs. The dock is wheelchair friendly, a fine place to visit. Nicely captured, the dock, spectators and photographer too!
I really like this photo Genie. it's s super shadow shot!!! and has a great feel to it. happy day to you.
ReplyDeleteNice self-shadow (that's like a self-portrait I suppose)
ReplyDelete;-)
The photo has quite a mysterious air to it. Interesting!
