Weekend in Black and White ~ Weekend Reflections ~ 6-24-11

For some reason, I was fascinated by the reflection of the trees in this little puddle. I almost missed it...glad I looked back. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I keep thinking it looks like a sweet potato with drawings on it.

"Thy fate is the common fate of all; Into each life some rain must fall.”
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

  1. What a wonderful capture of a really terrific reflection, Geni! I'm always amazed and delighted at the unexpected places we find shadows and reflections once we start looking for them! Opens a whole new world!! Have a lovely weekend!

  3. 2 things to remember in photography, always look up and always look down, because everybody else is looking around (I'm a colossal failure at poetry). Great shot, I like the 'Y' in the reflection.

  7. A fascintating shot, to me the background seems vertical, and that's impossible!

  13. An etching in a sweet potato... what a precious thought. And framed so lovely by the square beneath it.

  15. Very good! The shape of the puddle also looks like an eye ... wich adds even more to the image. Well done :)
