These hay bales are in a huge field I pass going to and from work...and they are only the first cut. The stash will be far greater in the weeks to come.

That's a lot of hay. And a lovely sky, the clouds are pretty. Happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteHi Genie. What a great sky shot. Did you live in Amsterdam on a houseboat? Tell me all about it?
ReplyDeleteit's amazing what one large field of hay can produce, isn't it? glorious skies Genie.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful shot. I love rolled hay bales like that and the sky above them is perfect.
ReplyDeletethis is a scene that i would like to witness with my own eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a picturesque shot Genie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific capture, Genie! Beautiful skies and I, too, love the rolled hay bales! Enjoy your weekend!

That is a lot of hay! And also some wonderful fair weather clouds; beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing a lot of these around here too, but not that many!
ReplyDeleteNice sky shot too!
Fantastic shot.
ReplyDeleteWe saw a lot of good hay cuttings on our way across the country. Must have been a good year. I kept wishing I'd taken a picture..so thanks for this one!
ReplyDeleteGenie, Lovely, lovely sky. Ike was from Kansas and certainly had it right about farming. You are so right about photography and how much more aware you become. I have said that very thing to a ton of people lately. Since late October I have taken 200 or more sunset or sky photos. I have lived in Kansas all my life and, until the last 6 months, have probably noticed only a "handful" of sunsets --how sad. I'm glad I "pay more attention" now. Have a great 4th of July weekend. Mickie :)
ReplyDeletesimply beautiful....the sky and the hay bales make a beautiful combination.
ReplyDeletebeautiful textures in this photo. a tranquil scene.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteHiya Genie,
ReplyDeleteThey look so lovely and fresh, before they are wrapped in the black plastic bags.
Or don't they do that your way?
What is that about Amsterdam and the houseboat?
Didn't grow cannabis on the roof I hope :-)
The bales almost match the clouds for bigness!
ReplyDeleteMOST WONDERFUL
The sky’s a most wonderful thing,
Enjoyed by both peasant and king;
No matter the eye
That sees the bright sky

An incredible amount of hay! It almost looks like a line up of pipes! And love the fluffy white clouds watching over the hay!
ReplyDeletedo they bag the hay in plastic?
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot! The sky and the field with the hay bales look very much as the ones we've got at the moment!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Genie;o)
***Hugs and a nice and happy weekend to you****
nicely composed photo. I like the look o those hay bales. :)
ReplyDeleteI find those round bales fascinating. They always bring to mind alien artifacts in sci-fi films.
ReplyDeleteMy first time to see hay bales :)
ReplyDeleteI love those but here they cover them with white plastic and we call them as cow eggs:) I like more the old style without plastic.
ReplyDeleteI really love this photo. Stunning skies and perfectly framed in the photo.
