PLEASE GO AWAY AND DO NOT COME ANOTHER DAY!
Some primal termite knocked on wood;
and tasted it, and found it good.
That is why your Cousin May
fell through the parlor floor today.

wow! that's some nest!
ReplyDeleteYuck! I hate those tentworms. :(
ReplyDeleteThe poem made me laugh though!
My mother in law hates those sacs and would torch them any time she saw any. She started quite a few yard fires in her day...lol...
ReplyDeleteCool shot...
ReplyDeletecool photo! I am stopping by from Macro Friday!
ReplyDeleteNeat, but devastating subject.
ReplyDeleteWe used to get gypsy moth tents like this. My dad would wrap a rag around a large stick. wet the rag with gasoline, light it and burn the nest.
I was only half laughing at good old Ogden here -- we had termites once (years ago) in our house in Oregon, caught them early enough, but Oh that is nightmare inducing to see those horrid things.
ReplyDeleteGood picture (shiver). And I really do love Ogden Nash!
Well, opposite to all, I love this kind of finds! Maybe because they never occurred in my place... :-)
ReplyDeleteNice shot, but can you please fill this dingy, desert, Vegas girl in on what it is? I've never seen anything like it...is it spiders in there...please say no!
