Fence across the Road from Our House

penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”

I love this photo. The white petals really stand out.
ReplyDeleteOld fences have such charm, and with the addition of flowers, they can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteThe texture of the white paint gives a lot of character. The fence has grown old and the trees have grown up ... together.
ReplyDeleteI love the old-time feel of this photo.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers make this photo great!
ReplyDeleteGreat subject for monochrome. I like this a lot.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to me that you mentioned having heard about Christ Episcopal Church in Raleigh in your comment on my post. It is an historic church but for me it's also the church where my father was the Rector from 1957 until he retired in 1991. I'll admit I don't go to church at this point in my life, or rather rarely, but when I do it's still my church. I've posted photographs on both of my blogs in various posts of this church because I do enjoy photographing it. My parents both died some time ago but I know they'd get a kick out of me photographing and blogging photos of Christ Church if they were alive.
This is a lovely picture, beautiful in black and white.
ReplyDeleteIt is as if the flowers have been sewn on .

I really like the contrast of textures between the rough woods and the soft petals.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you ;)
Wonderful photo-the old wooden fence, the dogwood, all of it together makes for a great shot. Just as effective in B&W as if it were full of color. Happy Easter. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! I really like what the flowers add to it.
