I stop on my way home from work EVERY afternoon, rain (if it’s not too bad) or shine, to check check out this scary little fellow. If I had gotten any closer this time, I think he would have tried to eat me. He looks like he’s thinking, “Bring her on....I’m ready!” This is my representation of Oscar Wilde’s “The basis of optimism is sheer terror” from
The Picture of Dorian Gray...this week’s prompt for “macromondays"
Wow, he is a bit scary, but at the same time beautiful. Great shot, Genie!

Yikes! He scares me silly. That's exactly why don't shoot bugs, or spiders, unless they are butterflies or dead. That thing would surely eat me if I came close with a camera. You are sooooooooo brave!!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, no photo is showing! I have refreshed a few times but still no sign!
ReplyDeleteBut thank you for linking to Weekend Nature. I'll come back and try again!
Great shot - very colorful guy! Thanks for stopping in - been thinking of you. Hope Weezie is doing OK!
ReplyDeleteThis is one amazing photograph. The fact that you caught him upside down with his mouth open is even more amazing.
ReplyDeleteTotally creepy....ooouuuhhh.
Eeek! He is scary! Great photo though
